Ambassadors and other diplomats to and for the United States may not be arrested in a foreign land. Among the reasons for the policy of diplomatic immunity is the desire for officially accredited diplomats to be able to perform their duties with complete independence. Also, diplomats are direct representatives of foreign countries and, as such, remain under the authority of their own governments.
Question: Should countries be able to arrest foreign ambassadors and other diplomats? What problems might arise if this were allowed?

no they should not be able to arrest them because they are not in their country and they might not know how things work and this would cause a lot of problems because then those two countries might have problems with eachother after that happens

It all matters... Its like they cant just arrest them because they dont want them in their country or because they dont like their race... But if they actully do something wrong then i do beilve that they should be able to arrest them !

Well as long as their no a threat to the United States I dont think they should be aresseted.

i dont think we should be aable to because foreign countries have different rules than the united states and people might get arrested for things thry didnt know were breaking the rule. problems would be that a war could possibly get started because of all the consequences foreign countries may give us.

Yes the should because the problem of terroism may be a factor and disobeying rules that my coincide with a terroist attitude can be detrimental to the land that the ambassador resides in.
